Role Required: Administrator
Plans Supported: In-House, Freelance Pro and Agency
Report Themes in AdClicks provide you with great flexibility to style reports to your liking, and it goes way beyond a primary and secondary color, let's take a quick look at how to get this done.
To get started, head over to the Themes icon on the navigation bar.
Every instance will have two pre-determined themes to get you started: AdClicks - Dark, and AdClicks - Light.
However, you can create your own by clicking on the Build a Theme button.
The theme has a few sections which we will cover in detail below:
1. General Options (which includes most of the required fields).
- Theme Name (Required): A visible name for the theme. You want to choose something you can remember easily, as you'll be prompted to choose a theme name when creating new reports.
- Logo (Optional): Your own logo (or the logo of a client) which will be used in the "Branding Widget" as either a footer or header on every page. Make sure you pick a logo that works well with the page and widget background colors!
- Background Image (Optional): A custom background that will be used instead of using a solid background color. Recommended dimensions are: 1360 x 768.
- Title Color (Required): Hexadecimal color code that will be used on Title Widgets and Scorecard Titles.
- Page Color (Required): Hexadecimal color code that will be used as the page background, will be ignored if a Background Image is provided.
- Body Color (Required): Hexadecimal color code that will be used for all other text on rich text widgets and tables.
- Widget Background Color (Required): Hexadecimal color code that will be used as the widget background. We recommend not using the same color as the page background to ensure widgets stand out and have some contrast.
- Border Color (Required): Hexadecimal color code that will be used as the outer border color of widget boxes.
2. Chart Widgets Color Palette
- Only one color is required, but you can provide up to 5 different colors to be used for coloring the series in the different chart types such as pies, columns, and lines.
3. Table Colors
- Header Background Color (Optional): Hexadecimal color code that will be used as the background color for table headers.
- Header Border Color (Optional): Hexadecimal color code that will be used as the border color only on table header rows.
- Row Background Color (Optional): Hexadecimal color code that will be used as the background color for all other rows in the table.
- Row Border Color (Optional): Hexadecimal color code that will be used as the border color for all other rows in the table.
- Stripped (Optional): Whether or not the tool should alternate between your main Row Background Color and a darker shade (automatically determined) of that same color.
4. Comparison Labels
- Color Schema (Optional): We allow you to choose between a few different options to style how comparison metrics are displayed on scorecards. The best option for you will depend on the background color you have selected.
Once you've entered the required information for your brand new theme, click on Apply.
That's it! You've created your first theme. Now, head over to create a new report and start using it.
It's also important to remember that you can create as many themes as you'd like, to give you enough freedom to have completely different styles for different reports, whether that is for yourself, or for your different clients.
